We are committed!

As a business and service provider in the social economy, we take our social responsibility very seriously. This is why we support the following voluntary initiatives in our home city of Cologne.

Kalker Kindermittagstisch e.V.

True to the motto “every child has a right to food”, this association provides a free lunch to children who are not given a warm meal at home, from Monday to Friday, in the city district of Kalk.

The “Kalker Kindermittagstisch”, established in 2009, has become an institution in only a short time. About 170 children from underprivileged families are, meanwhile, taken care of by a voluntary team headed by founder Elisabeth Lorscheid – and the number is increasing. In 2010 Ms Lorscheid was awarded the volunteer’s prize of the city of Cologne for her commitment.

The logistical work involved with this project increases with the number of children.  TERRANUS has, therefore, donated a small delivery van to the initiative with which the food donations and meals can be transported.
